Billy Tea and Damper – Tidbinbilla School Holiday Program

Experience a true taste of the Australian bush! Join us for freshly brewed billy tea and warm damper, a traditional bush bread once cooked by swagmen and stockmen over an open campfire.

Kids can mix up their own damper and cook it over an open fire, and we’ll also brew up some billy tea to wash it down.

Don't forget to wear suitable walking shoes, bring drinking water, dress appropriately for the weather and be sun safe.

Introduction to bushwalking for kids – Young Rangers Program

Opportunity to take a guided walk-through bushland on the Congwarra track at Tidbinbilla and learn a few basic bushwalking skill as we go.

Walk along a 3.1 km formed bush track which is mostly flat with some gentle hills to challenge us. The track includes some rocky sections, offering opportunities to develop awareness of varying terrain while enjoying the natural environment.

Throughout the walk, we will learn and practice safe and comfortable bushwalking techniques. Participants will take turns in leadership roles, carrying the map, setting the pace, and assisting with group navigation to build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills.

Pack a Small backpack to carry your water bottle, snack and dress appropriately for the weather and be sun safe, then come join the fun!
